My brother gave me this statue a few years ago. He told me he picked it up at an estate sale of an older man who had passed away. I have always thought of it to be sort of strange/spooky. I do not know much about it other then it appears to be somewhat old and has a very worn stamp on the back that says "made in Philippines". It is very detailed and seems to be tribal. The wood is very nice as well as very sturdy . The statue looks to be holding its hands over its eyes with a horrid look on its face just like the "see no evil" gesture. I do not know anything about the statue. It may have some amazing history behind it or maybe not. It just doesn't really go with my home decor and my 4 year old is freaked out by it.
