The listing, 1861 SEATED HALF DOLLAR - 90% SILVER - CIVIL WAR YEAR COIN - has ended.
This is for a 1861 seated Liberty half-dollar, it is a great coin but has a hole in it... most likely was made for jewelry.. This coin really meant something to somebody, it was wore a lot,, most likely by a civil war soldier.. this coin would have seen civil war fights, ,than the sitting around the fire at night with the other Civil War soldiers telling stories ...i wish this coin could talk ,, but this coin did mean something to somebody and somebody did wear it for a long time...Back then the parents did give stuff like this to there children that went off to fight the war. The Back is worn more than the front,, but there's some beautiful details there... but the coin is in great shape ,, It's just got the damage from the hole.... please check out my other auctions thank you
