Fair condition 1963 Fleer Rookie card of LA Dodgers Short Stop Maury Wills,1962 MVP.. Maury was actually in MLB for a few seasons before he received his rookie card, at the time Topps paid players $5 contracts for the use of them in cards but did not feel Wills was good enough for a card or a $5 contract, after Maury took off in the 1962 season Topps came knocking to offer him $5 for using him in the 1963 set. Maury turned them down and signed with Fleer who for the 1st time was releasing a current players set ( theyve always released a "best of"set before) and history was made..card still has some life to it, not pristine or mint some corner and surface wear please see pictures!!! but still a great vintage addition to anyones collection..card books over $100 in great raw condition bidding starts at $10 in poor to fair condition on auction sites
