Questions & Comments
I'm not quite sure if you are saying that the seeds we would be bidding on will produce all 3 colors on the same bush or not. Would you please clarify?
Yes the seeds you are bidding on do produce all 3 colors on the same bush. I used someone elses photo for that one because I never took one of my own. that is why I said these are the 3 colors, but the double Rose of Sharons are shaped like my purple bush I have pictured I hope this clearifies the seeds and if not please ask what you want to know and I will try to explain in another way.
I planted Rose of Sharon starts about 10 years ago and have them along my driveway. I have pink ones and purple ones and white ones and some are the single and some are double blossoms and I have 2 of the tri colored ones both have the double blossoms they are beautiful.
What you are saying makes sense. however I origanally planted only one little start from someone elses bush and got all 3 colors from that one start on one bush. and I gave some starts to a friend of mine and she also got 3 colors. we did not graft anything.
If anyone doubts that there is a tri colored rose of sharon. type in Tri colored rose of sharon and it will tell you that there are 4 different colors and even a tri colored one and they were around in the biblical days. I should have looked this up sooner, but I know mine is tri colored.
