Here is an awesome wheat cent double die !!
1946 d !! look north or the top of the mint mark d, you can see another d ( the top of another d ).. could be d over d, or what some may call a " ghost " d..
very nice coin to put in your error, oddity, die variations, ect.. and this coin is in great shape for it age...lol i would say this coin is au, full wheat ears..great details!!

Sorry it took so long to check the value for you. That is definitely a D/D error. The redbook doesn't list a value for this date, but the 1946 S/D iw $35-$225 so I expect the D/D is extremely close in value. Based on the description for the grading, this coin is between VF20-EF40 which values it between $35-$75 assuming the value is the same as the 1946 D/D.

yes, and this one is one of my fav's..a very nice find..tried to sell it on e bay but no bites!!! i know here on listia at least it will gets some points...heck a person cant just give it away on e bay..lots of back and neck hurting goes into finding the errors..thank you again my listia pal!!
