Very true! Listia advises us not to bid on auctions where the person hasn't been verified. So for your own good you should do it because you'd get more bids and it only takes a few minutes.
Also, I'm not sure about the mystery gift card auction because it could be somewhere that does not have the store in my town. Then it would be worthless.

I guess I could tell the winner, but if they're disappointed with the choice I don't want any issues, you know? As long as everyone knows the risk of bidding on a "mystery card" it should be okay. It's a new giftcard I just received from a friend back home, but we don't have any of this particular places near my school so I'm putting it up for auction! Like I said, if you don't like it or don't have one near you you are free to relist or give it to someone else. If you think it's going to be an issue then I wouldn't bid. Thanks for looking!
