As pictured, this auction is for a 4-DVD set of Transformers: Headmasters, the Japanese collection. They are packaged in a clear DVD case without the sleeves. They are in mint condition except for disc 2, which has two minor scratches which do not affect play.

Seen mostly in Japan, these DVDs follow a story that begins a year after the war between the Cybertrons and Destrons, when a new breed of transformers emerges with the ability to detach their heads.

Please note: this edition of the set was purchased in Japan and is REGION FREE, meaning that it will play on any DVD player. This edition has both Japanese and English dubbing with English subtitles. (This set was purchased in Japan). The US version, which can be purchased in Best Buy, will only have Japanese dubbing with English subtitles....no English dubbing.

This set is a must-have for Transformers fans, since this series was only aired in Japan. This series continues to tell the story of the Headmasters, who were introduced in Transformers: Gen 1, season 4. After only three episodes, season 4 ended.

A quick note: the video quality of the DVD set that I am offering here has the same quality as the set being sold in Best Buy. Video quality is comparable to vintage VHS quality, as there was no remastering done when the series was transferred to DVD.
