The listing, Antique/Vintage ladies Bulova Watch has ended.
this is a womens bulvia watch it is approx. from the 1940's the band is a rope like material with gold rings the marking (as far as i can see) say JBin the middle of a triangle and 1/2010k g.f. U.S.A. the band is missing a pin that would keep it together but looks like it could be fixed easily. it has a wind up function to keep it running and does keep the time (as long as you wind it up. HAPPY BIDDING FAN ME I'LL FAN YOU
Soooo nice!!! The JB in the middle of the triangle stands for "Joseph Bulova", the founder, who died in 1935. The traingle was only used in three years that I know of: 1926; 1935 and 1945. So am thinking this is either a '35 or '45 made watch. If You look on the interior casing, there may be some markings there...if so, those would designate exactly what year the watch was made. If nothing is there, then it is pre-40s. Thanks for such a nice piece up for us! Best Regards to All!
wow thats some info thanks for telling me all that its very interesting and i the backit says bulova and on the bottom theres H760615 does that mean anything and how do u know all that?
lol You Are Welcome! Lots of comparative searching and talking with people in town (we have three antique stores downtown! :) and trying to stay in the know on many various items so i know the "gems" when I see them, and MOST of all, just simply the Good Grace of God :) all contribute to staying informed! From what I have seen, though it doesn't mean it's exclusive, the type of band on this in the 30s was a twisted fabric: exact same style as the metal. Still looking for more info!
