It is truly lovely. It is blue with carnival glass like coloring in center of dish. It could be used for many things. Good luck if you bid. fanned you back. Happy Listia!

My whole family watched the eruption happen, from our living room window. Fanned and watching.

It was extremely scary all those years ago.....The silver lining for Portland was that the wind blew the worst of the ash North. We are South of Mt. St. Helens. We survived all the ash and gloomy weather and this here dish got made! Good luck if you bid and Happy Listia

Just to help Bev... FOLKS, this is truly a COOL piece of art, natural history and conversation piece. The one I'm selling in my shop is $67.95, so bid high for it, it's WELL worth it! I will scan the info that came with it and send it to Bev who can then send it to the winner so they know it's history and facts. :)
