Sweet Alyssum Pastel Carpet:
3-inch-tall plants spread like wildfire -- up a foot wide!
6 pastel shades start blooming just weeks after planting and keep coming till frost!
Like a banner to welcome spring, this carpet of soft pastel shades hugs the ground with gentle color and a vigorous spreading habit! Pastel Carpet is the most floriferous, vigorous, and colorful Sweet Alyssum yet, with soft shades of rose, pink, violet, blue, white, and creamy-yellow all over low-growing, 3-inch-tall plants!

The flowers begin just 8 to 10 weeks from early-spring sowing, and don't let up until frost. The plants spread up to a foot wide, every inch covered in gentle color. A mass planting of Pastel Carpet is an arresting sight, and even the humblest basket or border looks like a spring paradise with this free-blooming, low-growing, miniature delight!

Plant in full sun for edging, ground cover, low beds, and containers. Trim back to get constantly-returning blooms!

Well, it really depends what zone you live it. You can start them inside up to 3 months prior to transplanting them outside.

Hi Neighbor!! I'm near Ames. You'd be in Zone 5 as well, so I'd wait till around the 10th to 15th of May before I planted outside in this unpredictable state! Usually around Mother's Day weekend (do it on Mother's day and that way my kids help me plant, Lol !!)

No...3 weeks to germination, not bloom. That takes a little while longer.
