The listing, VINTAGE ANTIQUE HANDCRAFTED REAL IVORY ROSES 12KT GOLD NECKLACE & EARRINGS SET~TRULY ONE OF A KIND! has ended.

This is a beautiful vintage antique victorian style handcrafted real ivory roses 12kt gold filled necklace & matching earrings set . its over 100 years old and made around 1910. belong to my grandmother. was a gift from my grandfather . she wore the set in a portrait she had done. has a flat swirl box style gold chain with 2 delicate small ivory roses that go into one big ivory handcrafted rose in the middle. the swirl design done in gold above the largest ivory rose maches the swirl design on the earrings and 2 gold swirls on the chain. has matching screwback style earrings. each earring has a handcrafted ivory rose with gold filagree style petals which match the details on the chain. the chain is a box type with tiny swirls. this is real ivory. you dont see this kind of jewelry around today. all 3 pieces are marked on back gold filled. and 1/20 12 kt. the necklace is 16 inches. i really dont go out alot so it needs a new home. real ivory cant be used today to make jewerly today. so this is very rare. any questions.. just ask ! thank you.

Well as with everyone else I am amazed at the beauty of this. the craftsmanship is breathtaking. I am sure the bids will go off the charts if they don't then I will be floored. I am most def watching this one closely.
I bet the photo of your grandmother in this is very beautiful and I know she felt very special wearing such a lovely gift from her husband.

Truly lovely~yes in reference to above ? Gold filled jewelry means that 1/20 of the metal is filled with gold. It was mixed into the alloys to enhance strength and color and attests to the antiquity of the items. They stopped doing this about 1940. Also, this attests to the higher end of the manufacturer. Also, Ivory was banned but this item is legal as made prior to the ban. Absolutely Gorgeous! F& W

Are you sure they are real ivory? It looks more like Celluloid. I just seems they wouldn't put real ivory on gold plating.

this is very pretty! but a animal died for it I couldn't bear to wear it! :( TO ME it's like a person who was jkilled and someone carved the bones for a necklace. too based its not jade or another stone. GOOD LUCK W/ your auction!
