The listing, Vintage 1972 Topps #310 ROBERTO CLEMENTE!!! has ended.
Up for auction is a vintage 1972 Topps #310 Roberto Clemente card.
Clemente is more than a Pittsburgh Pirates legend, he is a baseball institution. Exactly 3000 hits, an MVP award, and probably the best right-field arm ever. Clemente died after the 1972 season, in a plane crash while delivering earthquake relief supplies. Since then, his cards have been among the most collectible in the modern sports card era.
This is from my personal collection. It's no secret to most of the people I am in contact with here that I am a huge Pirates fan. I used to use a '72 Clemente as my profile picture ... and yes, that's current Bucs coach Clint Hurdle in my current profile.
This card IS creased (see picture), but how often do you come across the opportunity to get a FREE vintage Roberto Clemente card, regardless of the condition? If you're giving away mint ones, please let me know. :)
Happy bidding, and good luck!
