yes it is a necklace if i unhook it it measures about 17 to 18 inches..hooked it measure around 8 it is adjustable..it has a adjustable chain..it fits close around the neck..it is not a braclet....;))))))))))

i am not sure, but i think the way it is constructed, that one heart could be removed and the necklace put back together, good as new!
