Description

The listing, HP Pavillion ze2000 Laptop has ended.

HP Pavillion ze2000 Laptop. Windows XP Home Edition. 40GB Hard Drive, 1GB RAM (I had the RAM upgraded myself as it only had 256k originally). Seems to work okay but not the fastest computer in the world. One of the hinges is broke so you have to be careful opening it or you'd have to get that fixed. The top is scratched up (shown in the pictures). It's been cleared out but does have Chrome and Mozilla FF installed along with AVG Antivirus Free on it (all free programs so these are okay). If you want a paid antivirus you'll have to purchase one yourself. There's no XP disc with it. The XP key for the computer is on the back and I've blacked it out in the picture. Sorry, wish I could offer free shipping but I can't right now. If the bidding gets high enough I might be able to go either halves or something. We'll see how it goes. Let me know your zip code and I can calculate the shipping rate. I have a scale here or it would fit in a flat rate medium box but I'm afraid there wouldn't be enough room for padding in that.

Just an FYI---We're in the middle of a major winter ice storm. If I don't answer any questions or messages right away its because I'm not able to, our internet keeps going down and our power keeps going on and off.

Thank you so much for listing!! Love the laptop and this would be perfect for a child. I will be bidding closer to the end and I have read the directions so I won't ask about shipping. LOL

It's a lot nicer out now and just barely warm enough to start melting things again. They're predicting temps in the 40's next week so maybe spring is on it's way! Of course up here that's probably wishful thinking. It's barely March in Minnesota. Land in infinite variety for weather this time of year LOL!

Oh I realized what that spot was that someone referred to a couple days ago! I thought at first it was a reflection from something but what it is is the mouse curser! I have it set so that when it's "thinking" it shows a little horse. THAT is what you are seeing because when I took the picture it was still booting up.

gensvariety - LOL all those ??? about shipping would have made me nuts too! I do it the easy way - I put my zip code in the auction description along with the weight and direct them to look it up on USPS themselves. It saves a lot of headaches. : )

Nice auction BTW.

Thanks for the info Netter. I'll remember that if I ever need to do shipping like that again! And thanks. It's not a bad laptop overall, just not a new one by any sense of the imagination. I love my new one and don't need this one anymore.

Just to clarify, the monitor is measured on a diagonal.

I'll just sit back and wait for the right moment to bid! =0) I like this laptop more than the others I have seen on here! Nice! Happy Sunday!=0)
Feb 25th, 2012 at 9:12:13 PM PST by

LOL No not that Dawn, just that I didn't realize there would be so many so quick asking about shipping! And then when I added in about the average cost I though people would read that and understand but some aren't reading everything.

How much is the shipping to 72702 fayetteville arkansas ?
and do you take a post office money order ?
Feb 25th, 2012 at 4:02:23 PM PST by
Original
Money orders will be accepted ONLY if they are sent with a tracking number. As said before though I'll change the shipping to free if the bidding gets up high enough. The shipping cost will be half of actual otherwise and won't be more than $7.50 at most. Please everyone read all the description and updates! I can't keep trying to refigure shipping quotes all the time. If you want a more accurate shipping estimate in case it doesn't get high enough use your zip code and the zip code 56156 which is the post office most likely end up shipping from (that's the larger one closer to me). You can figure the weight at 10 pounds and shipping using parcel post unless you WANT to pay for priority. I will NOT pay for priority, it's too expensive. The flat rate boxes are NOT thick enough to add the extra padding for protection around the laptop, I've already checked that. Thank you!
Feb 25th, 2012 at 8:03:54 PM PST by
Original
If you want to pay higher shipping that's fine with me. I can use priority and ship that way. The flat rate boxes are too thin IMO for me to add adequate protection to ship this safely.

32127?
Feb 25th, 2012 at 10:22:31 AM PST by
Original
To 32127 is about $7.25 for half of the postage. From what it looks like anyone can figure postage to be from $6.75 to around $7.50 at most.

IF the bids go high enough, say they hit 33000 I'll go ahead and do free shipping completely. How does that sound?
Feb 25th, 2012 at 10:43:25 AM PST by
Original
Ooops, that's $6.75, I hit the wrong button on my calculator.

Feb 25th, 2012 at 9:46:28 AM PST by

The weight packaged is about 10 pounds and since I'm going half buyer's cost is $7.50 to your zip code. We'll see how the bids go as far as shipping and that may change.
