is the extension a metal one? I would rather just have the cord as I am allergic to certain metals. Watching..already a fan.

Yes, it is metal...the extension and the clasp. I don't have anything to substitute for the cord......but any thing that you have could be substituted as the bale has a quite large opening. and could be just a simple ribbon tied. Sorry about your allergies as that must be very limiting for you. Thank you for looking and I hope you can make something for it. Blessings/Carole

if it is murano glass ,do you have a certificate by whom it is made??It is only made within the family in ITALY.
