Description

The listing, Corkscrew Willow Cuttings 100 has ended.

LOVELY, easy to root in water in less than 2 weeks. Fresh cuttings the day you purchase them. 100 cuttings, all the size of a pencil in diameter (I have other listings for these but they are less than a pencil in diameter). 15 - 22 inches long.

These are so easy to grow. I actually had a large limb, about the size of my arm and 15 inches long that we left out in our wood pile. After a month it still had new growth and leaves. It wasn't even toughing the ground.

EXCELLENT for Willow Water used to send horemones to roots of other plants. Google Willow Water to see the benefits. I have also been told that Corkscrew Willows have far more of that horemone than Weeping Willows. Just boil 1 or 2 inch cuttings, let cool, and water new seedlings. These make great trees, you can even clip them with scissors and keep them short (use the cuttings for new trees - adding to water like you will these) and they will provide a hedge! I like putting 3 together and after they are well rooted I begin to twist them like a fig tree houseplant. Very cool trees and hard to find!!!

I shipped 100 cuttings to another location in Virginia and shipping was $8.95 so if you live further West it will cost more but it will be exact charges.

This tree is very amazing. You can see where I've crossed the branches it has 'molted' into the branches that were against it. That is why the master gardener told me it had huge horemone levels which will make it stronger than willow water. The tree is 5 years old and I have cut it back using only rose pruners, 3 times. You can just grab a branch and pull it down and snip- the branches have such give to them that you would never need to use a chain saw or anything heavy duty. There really is no limit to these amazing trees. I've sent them to people all over the U.S. so zone doesn't seem to be an issue. If you do yard sales or craigslist you should get a large order and root them and have pictures and sale them for a few $ each. I did that one year but putting them in old plastic pots or large cups and sold them for $1 if in cup size and made $50 or so on them alone. You just don't find these trees very often.
