The Mandala series is the less expensive &, in my opinion, better version of the Caron Cakes. These work up beautifully! They are indeed very soft & the color change is seamless. My first project with this yarn was a hooded cowl. It turned out so beautiful & soft, no one can keep their hands off it. I can't make them fast enough! Watchers/bidders - if you haven't tried this yet, go for it! This yarn is so worth it! (There is no pattern inside the label but, Lion Brand posts hundreds of free patterns online.) Knit or crochet, believe me, you want this yarn!

That is sweet, thank you. :) However, I pay way less for a Caron Cake than a Mandala and you're right about the pattern. I had thought because it showed the scarf and ball on it, that there was. I had to undo my own to see that there wasn't. I'll just add the one I was going to use with it instead than. (Once I copy it, I will take a picture.) Thanks again. :) Happy 4th!

Happy 4th to you too! Apparently we shop at different stores if the Caron Cakes are less expensive for you. Lol. I'm glad to hear it though. They are both good yarns. I prefer the 100% acrylic myself. It seems to work up softer for me & I like the slightly "fuzzier" feel & look. Just a personal preference. :) No matter what, whoever wins this will be thrilled!

Thank you. I don't have a huge understand of the whole acrylic thing, to be honest. lol 100% acrylic could mean anything from rough to soft I have found out. Yes, I used coupons for the cakes which makes it 2-3 dollars less and I agree, not a big fan of it after I knitted two.
