The listing, Size 10 Stainless Steel Celtic Irish Knotwork Band Ring *BNWT* has ended.
This Auction is for a Size 10 Stainless Steel Celtic Irish Knot work Band Style Ring. This ring can be worn handsomely by a Man or a Woman. The band is 8 mm tall. (Which is Approximately 1/4th") This beauty is BRAND NEW WITH TAGS and will arrive in a Cardboad Gift Box.
Stainless Steel is the perfect material for a ring because it is virtually indestructible, it never tarnishes, and will look shiny new even after years of wear and tear. It is indiscernible from Sterling Silver and looks even closer to platinum with out the price and doesn't get scratched or broken. Even my own wedding set is Stainless Steel and I have been wearing it for 17 years. It looks like the day I first put it on.
Celtic knots are complete, continuous and with no clear beginning or end. They look like strands which are interwoven. You can find different knotwork patterns consisting of one or a number for strands which criss-cross. The Irish Celtic knot represents the full development of the knotwork tradition. The style is known as Ultimate La Tene or Hiberno-Saxon Insular art and emerged around 650 AD when Gaelic monks put together biblical manuscripts in monasteries in Ireland and the island of Britain.
Great examples of Celtic knot patterns appear in the ornamentation of early Christian manuscripts such as 8th Century Book of Kells as well as the Lindisfarne Gospels (late 7th Century). Knots were often used for elaborate decocoration or illumination of initial letters or for the hair of the apostles.
I hope that the Celtic Knot work will be a way for the person wearing it to remember that like the knotwork that has no beginning or no end so does our Divine Power that guides us.
Thank you so much for stopping by and ask any questions you may have!. Happy Bidding!
