Love the fact that you run a horse rescue, I truly wish I were able to do so too but as you know it is expensive to care for the malnurished and or abused or neglected horse. I really appreciate the fact that you wish you do the rescue that does speak in high volumes!
I just wish the laws were changed in the animals favor, I work for peta as a volunteer animal investigator and the fact is the animals have NO rights
its so sad when a human can go and completly starve a horse or any other animal near to death or worse and sit there and eat dinner inside there home
the hardest part on owning a horse is the shelter and the space
the feed is relatively inexpensive for example a bag of feed for almost a week is $8 and a bale of hay varies from $8 up depending on the season
so for less than $20 a week this is what it takes minus the other expenses
what upsets me the most is when people such as you or i call the local authorities and they do nothing at all. its just heart breaking!
