The listing, Coffee Plant (Seeds) has ended.

Coffee Plant 'Cafe Catura'
Coffea catura arabica

The world's most important beverage plant, with its handsome shiny foliage and fragrant white flowers, make fine indoor plants. In its natural habitant, these become small trees up to 20 feet high but rarely exceed 6 feet inside. It is an easy to care for plant and adapts well to full sun to part shade. To produce flowers and eventually coffee beans, temperature must be kept above 65 F. Plants will survive lower temperatures but flowering will be suppressed. Plants may bloom year-round depending on temperature but generally they are short-day plants, blooming most profusely when sunlight lasts for 8-10 hours a day. Flowers are generally self-fertile and will produce fruit without pollination. Coffee beans appear after flowering and turn red when they are ripe. These are worth raising as houseplants even if you don't like coffee! Detailed germination and growing tips are included with seeds.

10-12 enough for you to have several healthy plants. This is an easy plant to grow so you will probably have some to share.

I think I will have enough to do one more auction. I want to keep some so I can sell them as actual plants. Maybe if this doesn't work out for you, you could get a plant when they are ready.

It can take 30 to 60 days to germinate. Keep them warm and moist. You might want to read the directions I sent again.

Well I am getting them for my grandma who has a 30 foot tall place for the tree to grow and grow tall and she has a green thumb big time. And I think getting this tree and being able to harvest her own coffee beans would take her mind off thing. So i hope if I dont win this one then the next one.

I know it takes two years before it makes beans. They look like little red pods. You would have to remove the pods then roast the beans. I don't know how easy that would be at home but give it a try. You might google how to roast coffee beans and see what that takes.

My son gets plants and stuff from a nursery. He does a plant stand every spring. I get them from him. I had never seen them before this year. So I don't know. You might ask you local nursery.
