The dress is about 40 inches long. I'm also 5'4 and I held the dress up and it hits at about the knee (maybe a little lower).

My bust is a 38D do you think this would be too tight for me? I love the dress, but my bust is often a problem for me; go figure. Thanks, and take care.

I don't think your bust would be an issue in this dress. It stretches a bit and it was a bit too big in the chest area for me (I'm a 36B). Also, the most the dress would do is come out more, but if you wore an undershirt underneath the dress your cleavage wouldn't be horrible.
