I have never used one of these. I think it can be used for any age, it warms the wipes so they are not cold. They do not get hot. I found this for information

Defiantly better than using a cold wipe. I plugged it in to make sure it works it was nice and warm when I checked. Wish I had gotten one of these when my kids where babies
