what does the button on the side do?

the stringy piece of shoe string thing is the wick which gets wet from the lighter fluid fill and with a spark from the flint you have fire!

@jettrink, I dont know what the button do but when I push it i see it move in the ins
and it got a little whell on it look like to me it got something to do with the wick
