It's not up to me...it's however the auction turns out and the high bidder gets the laptop!

I have no control over the bidding and I do not know what you mean by "come down a little on the bids".

Yes, I guess we just didn't use it for so long...and the kids didn't leave it plugged in...so we thought it was worse than it was.

I don't mind what color the key is :) It is so nice of you to replace it :) I will just be happy that it has a key, and it works :) Thanks so much :)

It will have a key...hubby is still working on getting one to match exactly....but if all else fails, the key he already has is black & it works fine.

Thank you :)

Does it matter to you if the key I replaced is black & not grey like the others? Hubby is out today searching for the grey key, but not having much luck.

However, the good news is that the battery is in much better shape than I anticipated. My kids used the computer last night on battery power only for over three hours.....so I guess not using the battery for so long had my thought process wrong!

I was going to bid more but it seems like everyone is asking you to take less because they really want it. Well I want it more than they do so can you give me credits to take it? I didn't know that was how the auction worked, all this time I have been bidding higher on things to win. Lol I bid you give me 20000 credits I really really want it

It doesn't work like that!!!! It is AGAINST LISTIA RULES and you will get into trouble if you try to work something like that out with someone!!! It is a normal auction with normal auction rules ... item goes to the highest bidder!

There is absolutely NO "credit trading or transferring".

If that were the case, it would suck because every auction would be rigged. If you know of someone doing it, please report them to LISTIA.

Is there a reason why it holds a charge for half an hour? Thanks.
Mar 4th, 2012 at 2:09:53 PM PST by
Original
As batteries get older, they hold a charge for less & less time. There are many contributing factors that over time...reduce the battery charging effectiveness. I think this battery is the original and holds for about 1/2 hour to over an hour depending on what you are doing on the laptop. Kind of like your automobile battery, they just wear out after awhile.

Can this be upgraded to windows 7? and with a new Battery will it hold a longer charge? I am looking for a first laptop for my 15 yr old grandson. FW.

This is a great laptop for your grandson. I am certain that battery life will be very much improved with a new battery. They really aren't that expensive anymore, my kids just used it at home - so I didn't need to use the battery.

As far as Windows 7, it definitely has the capability - but I do not have a "clean & legal" license for it, that why I haven't upgraded it.

Does it hold a charge well?
Mar 1st, 2012 at 10:23:10 AM PST by
Original
Thanks for asking. I forgot to put that info in the description.

Depending on what functions are being performed on the computer, it holds a charge for at least 1/2 hour & up to an hour or so..... Probably a little better than that. I am being conservative.

Maybe I missed it is it Wi-Fi and what size hard drive F&B
Feb 29th, 2012 at 9:25:58 PM PST by
Original
Yes - it is Wi-Fi capable. We have been using an external USB wireless adapter to connect. I believe there is an internal network card...but I had trouble setting it up, so just bought an external wireless adapter. I was told this had to do with my cable company, which is my ISP.

All other specifications are listed in the auction . Please let me know if you have any other questions.
