Plains coreopsis~Wildflower~ (like black eyed susan) Approx. 100 seeds harvested from my own garden fresh today 5/18. These look similar to black eyed susans except the red in the centers. I personally think they are prettier : ) More info here: http://www.ask.com/wiki/Plains_coreopsis
These flowers grow well in the following states: Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina South Dakota, Tennessee,Texas, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri,Montana, Nebraska, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida,Georgia,Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Wyoming, Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, & California.
Planting guide: Coreopsis is adapted to many soil types. It grows best on a well-drained soil, but will not tolerate a very dry site. Natural stands are generally found on bottomland areas (roadsides) with ample moisture. It grows best in full sun, but will tolerate light shade.
Thanks : ) I LOVE zinnias too! Keep an eye out on my auctions cause I have some zinnias right now that have some very interesting coloring. I had never seen this color until this year at the farmer's market and I have loved zinnias for a long time! They are a red, orange and yellow all in one flower and as beautiful as a Florida sunset ; )
The Zinnias are not quite ready to drop thier seeds...maybe in a week or so. Keep checking back with me and IF I can remember I will drop you an email when I list some zinnia seeds. Yeah, just getting back on track for the week...I may list some more seeds (different kinds veges & herbs) tommorow, depends on how my day goes : P
