The listing, BEAUTIFUL, blue chalcedony and sterling silver ring has ended.

OK folks, here it is. I had a hard time deciding to let this one go. It has been worn by me. This is one of my all time favorites, simply beautiful ring. Stamped .925 sterling silver and genuine blue chalcedony. It is a size 8 3/4 and I wore it on my pointing finger. I got zillions of compliments on it too. This is definately a statement ring. Time to let someone else enjoy it now. Best of luck to all of you.

Aww thank you. The chalcedony stone (name comes from Calchedon, an ancient port of Bithynia near present day Istanbul, Turkey. The stone is from Cryptocystaline quartz and has a hardness of 6.5 to 7. It can be scratched or chipped so its best to remove it before playing sports, having hands in any kind of chemicals and should not be put in ultrasonic cleaners. Just wipe clean gently with a soft cloth and clean the silver the normal way. The Romans prized this stone as seals and in the New Testament (Revelations 21:19) chalcedony is one of the 12 stones set in the foundations of the city walls of Jerusalem. The 12 stones represent the 12 apostles and Chalcedony represents St. Andrew. This stone was used during the Renaissance as a magical amulet to promote health and safety.
Now you know all about it, lol. Just wear and enjoy but like any precious or semi precious stone, take care of it.

Sure is sweetie, I'm already regretting letting this one go, but I just don't wear much jewelry anymore and it's far too nice to keep looked in a drawer. I know the new owner will wear it lots and get tons of compliments. Not only is it beautiful its also very comfortable on he finger.
