This handsome metal thimble has a red, white, and green bell-shaped figure with some sort of symbol and a banner with "1980" applied to the side. If anyone knows what the symbol is, I'd like to hear from you! I believe 1980 refers to the year.To help you determine if this thimble will fit you, I have included 2 photos (the last 2) of the thimble laid upon a ruler to show the diameter of the opening (approximately 3/4") and the diameter of the top (approximately 3/4"). It is approximately 7/8" tall. I have also compared it with a standard ring sizer & it looks like the opening is close to a size 8.
