Up for auction is (6) 1776-1976 Bicentennial Coins: 3 - One Dollar Coins, 2 - 1/2 Dollar Coins and 1 Quarter (see the first photo showing all 6 coins). The face value of this "money" is $4.25. These should go to a collector as these are unique. It appears that they are circulated (not mint). On ebay, the prices are all over the place from 2-4 bucks a coin. Anyways, ask all the questions you need prior to the end of the auction as I am on Listia almost everyday! Free Shipping if over 4,000 credits! Good Luck!

I'm sorry, but unless they have an S as the mintmark, there is no way they have silver. Silver wasn't put in circulating coins after 1970.

I read on another website differently. These say "D" just below the neck line. I don't know if that is a mintmark but it might tell you a little more about it. I will change the description then. Thanks for bringing that up.

It's a common misconception. Just like most people call IKE and SBA Dollar coins "Silver Dollars". Not a bit of silver in them, but they've been called that since they were first produced.

Oh, and we can't forget the Sacagewea and Presidential "Gold Dollars". 4 types of metal in them, but not 1 of the types of metal is Gold. Best rule of thumb, If it was made after 1970, It don't have silver or gold unless stated on the coin or has some type of authenticity with it.
