maybe 3 or 4 ft.it can hold alot, a detector,or instrument or camping gear, i fit 2 detectors fully assembled in ours,and had extra room for our gear,i love ours, we can also fit our camping and fishing gear in here and easy to carry with a good sturdy handle, and it folds up small enough when not in use!

i already have it all packaged up to send,ours is in the trunk and my dear has the car, so i cant measure ours,its great though.for a camper or fisherman,or detectorist or hiker.
