My family is a doxie family. We all have rescued them. My mother currently has 2 (mini dapple and a mini black/tan), I have a handicapped black/tan one and my sister has 1 standard brindle and a doxie mix (we think its with a lab or golden retriever).

i have a "chiweiner" and i love him to death. he was a rescue. they are very hard to train to not tear up the house.

OMGoodness, I have to have these! I hope I will have enough credits, but maybe not until AFTER the auction. Still, thanks for listing! I am a dachsie fanatic. The furbaby in the photo had back surgery when he was 5 years old, so I commend you for caring for your black and tan. I know it is a lot to go through. I consider mine a "miracle baby," because he is going to be 12 years old this month, and he still runs like a puppy.

Fun to see more dachsie owners here. :)

good luck! my mothers black/tan needed back surgery years ago. He is still happy and healthy at the old age of 17. my little guy also had a spinal injury but was not a candidate for back surgery :( I never gave up on him he was on prednisone (sp?) it's a steroid. But we gave him lots of therapy and can walk. he stumbles and wobbles and can't jump but he is spoiled! His personality is amazing, I've never had such a loving dog.
