The listing, Do You Love Pink Ice? has ended.
large (3/8" round) pink ice gem (might be CZ), 2 white, clear triangular ones, 1 on each side. gold tone, stamped inside is 18K H.G.E. then an A in a circle. not sure what that all means. I believe it is a size 6, and I see no chips on any of the gems. it is very beautiful !
if you read the info, I stated that I wasnt sure what it is, I was told it could be gold filled, it could be a CZ, I listed in the remarks that it is stamped 18KH.G.E. I am not a jeweler, so I dont know what that stands for. If anyone reading this knows, perhaps they will enlighten us all... sorry, thats the best that I can tell you. I tried to photograph the stamp, so everyone could see.
18K H.G.E. means it is 18K heavy gold electroplate. The a inside the circle is probably the makers mark. Hope this was helpful. Very pretty ring!!! Already a fan!!
Thank you!! that was helpfull! do you know what kind of metal they put the electroplate over? I was taking a closer look & can say that the very bottom portion of the ring is rather worn, looks more silver, but the upper half is still very gold looking. hope that helps clarify for all looking...and thank you for watching!!
just another note for all looking-- the gem stones look very real, they do not have a sinlge scratch or mark on them ( fake crystal gems wears out, as another ring I have looks very worn around the top edge of the stone) and the gems are very well cut and faceted, which creates all the sparkle...
Sometimes it was silver sometimes base metal. You never know with these older rings. I do know that H.G.E. is good. I have a very old H.G.E ring that has never changed color! Also, a lot of times they would put real stones in jewelry like this. For instance, Sara Coventry did that all of the time. I have a lot of her things, and the stones are real!!
I was just looking at it again. It could be a pink & white sapphire. If you've had it a long time and the stones haven't changed color, that's a good possibility. I'm no expert, though. I just know that CZ's tend to get dull looking.
Ive never worn this, not even sure where I got it, but as i look at the wear at the bottom of the band, and then see how perfect the stones still are, I think you could be right, someone should be very pleased with this ring!!!
