This auction is for 20 red onion sets only. Check my other auctions for red sets and white sets.
Onion sets are small, dry onions that mature much more quickly than seeds, yet are more reliable and economical than transplants. Space them 3 to 5 inches apart in rows. If some sprout prematurely before you get to plant them ,it is fine to plant them as they are. Always make sure root is pointed down when planting. You can pull them as young green onions or pull every other one to eat and allow others to grow larger.

ok so how many bulbs are in a set??is this for 20 bulbs or 20 sets???just want to clear that up,to me a set is like 60bulbs..great auction though!!

Is this the same thing as shallots?

Actually shallots are a variety of their own. Theses are onions but can be picked small or left to grow into large onions. I like to pick them small and make sandwiches from them!
