Hello Listia fans!

I really enjoy using Listia as a platform to share my art with others. It is great as an artist to learn how to GIVE drawings away, and great for all you budding art collectors too! I get to experiment with many styles of art and hopefully everyone will be able to find something they like.

This piece measures 4.5x6 inches.
Drawn with pen and ink on heavy marker paper and illustrated with colored pencil. The image has a very shiny, smooth sheen.

I derive great pleasure from vintage images depicting "!!!THE FUTURE!!!" and have expanded on that theme in a lot of my work. This piece features a buxom astronaut shooting lasers at... what could it be?!

The colors have been washed out considerably by my scanner, and I am loathe to edit the colors on my computer because no matter what I do it will not look the same as in person.

I completely agree with you. I love Listia as a platform for sharing art and it's always good practice learning to let go of our "babies" :) Another fabulous piece! I need to slow down I'm running out of credits lol. Plus I should let someone else win now and then :)

I definitely have some stress when I put those pictures in an envelope! I have multiple scans of each one and check over and over again that I have some copy of it. I never forgot the regrets my mother had when she lost a slide (the days of slides!) of a piece she had sold.

I'm very glad we have moved to the digital world. I tried scanning a bit but like you said it never gets the colors quite right. I am blessed to have a really high quality camera. I feel much better having a good copy of them as I let them go. In the end where would we put it all if we kept it lol :) I really love the ATC's for this. I can collect many different peoples and put them in a very nice folder and protective cases. I've pretty much run out of wall space lol.
