Mulkey powers,...activate.lol. I don't know if you remember the Mulkey Brothers but, when my brother and I would go to the local wrestling events we would pull for the bad guys and the people who weren't going to win.Getting the old lady "front row" to give you the finger (from the balcony) was worth major points. We sure did have a great time doing that.We would have everyone around us p.o.ed. Pulling for Rick Flair, The 4 Horsemen, The Mulkey's, The Russians, lol we had a blast.
They wore fuchsia tights and badly bleached wiry hair.Anyway, they did win the tag team belts 1 time on a tech but lost them the next match.it was really cool.
oh,you missed some of the good stuff. When you could watch the back drop get knocked to the floor at a TV taping event. Not that it isn't cool now but,old school was highly unappreciated by the masses. If you get a chance to watch some old footage and you can appreciate to simplicity and low budget dynamics ,it was awesome.
I was born in 1986 and back then the only way I got to see wrestling was from tales that my brother rented from the video store and sometimes got to see on a small channel or two
yeah,In 85 I saw the first Starcade where Harley Race fought Rick Flair for the "Most World Championship ever held by one man "contest. It was a big production back then.We did not see it live but Live telecast to the coliseum we were at.It started off with Space 1999 music ,...lol,..it was awesome.Thanx for kick startin' some old memories Terryfan, most appreciated.
