The listing, Vintage GRUMBACHER & WEBER Artists CHARCOAL w/ AD + REEVES Sketching Pencils has ended.
Up for auction is a lot of sketching pencils / sticks. Some are vintage; some new. If you are an artist, you want quality, and these are!
There are two boxes of charcoal sticks which are from at least the 1970s. They were my dad's, and he passed during that decade.
The Grumbacher are No. 6A (medium soft) and are 5 round sticks (one is partially used). There is the original Grumbacher advertisement which is in great condition, and also a Grumbacher Medium Charcoal No 683 Pencil made in Germany!
lso included is a box of Weber American Vine, #09302B (soft), and has 26½ round sticks. Says the box only contains 25, so he must have put the last of the previous box in with the new. There is also a small piece of sandpaper, which he probably used to make a point of the stick. Also says "with pointer" on the box, and that may be what the sandpaper is...
I have added to the vintage boxes, a more recent box which contains Reeves Sketching Pencils. There are 10 left in this box which originally held 12. H ~ 2H ~ 3H ~ 4H ~ HB ~ B ~ 2B (these have NOT been used), and F ~ 3B ~ 4B (partially used).
*** There is also a New Goldfaber by Faber-Castell 2H. And throwing in a Weber Sketching Pencil F (can't tell if it has been used; looks good to me). These last two pencils are not in any of the scans, but ARE included.
