Will this do well in Ky.? How fast does it grow and does the cold kill it out??

Plant is listed as hardy in zone 8a to 11. It's a sun-lover, like most agave. The occasional frost we get here doesn't bother it a bit. Grows pretty fast. The one in the pic is about 2 years old.
