My dad bought these rounds on eBay and got screwed. He took them to get graded, but ANAC could not guarantee that they were 100% authentic. My dad was going to melt them down for the silver content, but I offered to take them off his hands and offer the rounds to someone that cannot afford the real thing and add them to their collection and to really appreciate these forms of artwork.
The weight is correct, the diameter is correct, the composition is correct to a genuine U. S. mint trade dollar. Again, I guarantee you that this round contains 90% silver and 10% copper. This is the exact round you will receive.
FACTS:
Many Trade Dollars made their way to China, and they were used as trading currency in this China. A few began making copies of this coin to sell (it's considered a form of art work in their country), and unfortunately these counterfeits made it back to the US. Some of these counterfeit Trade Dollars fooled the experts, and many used to be sold on eBay until collectors became informed.
