The listing, THE WALKING DEAD "DAYS GONE BYE" Vol. 1 Graphic Novel Reprinting Kirkman's First Six Comic Books EX+ has ended.
The DUDE is giving away this graphic novel / trade paperback (published by Image Comics) with the first six issues of the popular comic series, "The Walking Dead" - and the basis of one of cable television's most-popular shows. The black and white comic book was created and written by Robert Kirkman with Tony Moore (penciler, inker, gray tones) and Cliff Rathburn (additional gray tones).
From the back cover: "How many hours are in a day when you don't spend half of them watching television? When is the last time any of us REALLY worked to get something we wanted? How long has it been since any of us really NEEDED something that we WANTED? The world we knew is gone. The world of commerce and frivolous necessity has been replaced by a world of survival and responsibility. An epidemic of apocalyptic proportions has swept the globe causing the dead to rise and feed on the living. In a matter of months society has crumbled. No government, no grocery stores, no mail delivery, no cable TV. In a world ruled by the dead, we are forced to finally start living."
SPOILER ALERT! Fans of the TV show may NOT want to read the rest of this paragraph. The storyline in the first issues of the comic book include the death of Shane. The TV version of that plotline was revealed prematurely and made news this past week - the upcoming end of that major character from TWD seasons 1-2 and the exit of actor Jon Bernthal from the show.
Our book isn't new, but it's in excellent condition, read exactly two times and handled gently. Front cover is pristine, back has a little bit of minor wear. Binding is tight with clean and new-looking pages.
Time to list this baby; new episode of the TV show is starting now on AMC. Winning bidder gets the book with fast and FREE shipping from our pet- and smoke-free home in south Louisiana.
