This auction is for a vintage trade card advertising Singer sewing machines. The card represents the country Servia. The image shows a group of Servians in traditional dress showing the usefulness of the Singer sewing machine. Copyright 1892 The Singer Manufacturing Co.

Condition: Vintage (over 100 years). There is some wear on corners and edges. The upper left corner is creased.

*NOTE* Vintage trade cards are "old" so they will not look new. They may have surface wear, corner wear, soiling or light creases. Please see photos to view condition before bidding.

This item comes from a smoke free and pet free home. Items are carefully packaged before shipping.

emmascorner....it is my understanding that the country of Serbia was called Servia by english speaking countries. The trade card was copyrighted 1892, so at least at that time, it was called Servia. I read a little about the country today....very interesting.

I have this exact same sewing machine in my dining room! It was my grandmother's. She bought it used in 1910 for $2.45

I have GOT to have this to hang above it! :)
