Uggg, I was sooo sad when I saw this one is only for parts! I have been trying to get a ds on listia for almost a month and got scammed once already so I got all excited when I saw your seller rating! Almost everyone listing is brand new and i'm not doing that again. Oh well, good luck with this one! :)

The upper screen will need to be replaced because of the way the hinge broke - once that ribbon cable snaps, the only way to fix it is to get a whole new screen. Otherwise, that + a new case and hinge should fix it up! The parts will definitely be useful. Watching!

Awesome, thanks! Yeah, it won't stay on until it gets the new top screen, so the flashing off is normal, sounds like the board is perfect.

How's the power switch, as far as you can tell? Does it seem to have the right amount of resistance, or is it offset or too freely moving?
