Duck Dog - This video features Jim Spencer showing you how to develop your own retriever into a finished duck dog. He concentrates on the fundamentals of the marked and the blind retrieves - the basics needed for hunting. In the marked retrieve section, Jim covers steadying, lengthening, double marks and triple marks. In blind retrieve training, he works on lining, casting and stopping, using the popular "baseball" concept. He emphasizes and demonstrates the proper way to use hand signals as well as obedience work and force training.

How the training pays off is shown in actual hunting situations when a couple of Labs are put to work from a duck boat.
