Description

The listing, 1959 8 Cent World Peace Through World Trade Print Block has ended.

The 8-cent World Peace Through World Trade commemorative stamp was issued at the Washington, DC, post office on April 20, 1959. Designed by Robert Baker, a global symbol and a laurel spray dominate the stamp. The globe, located in the upper right of the design and showing latitudes and longitudes, is otherwise uncolored, except where the laurel spray overlaps. The inscription "World Peace Through World Trade" appears in the upper left in san serif italic Gothic, while the value "8c" and "U.S. Postage" are in the lower right in regular white Gothic.
This print block is in "New" condition and the glue is intact. It has been kept in a protective sleeve since its purchase in 1959.
