well MissyThombs the reason the bids automatically go past what some people are bidding is because Listia uses a Proxy bidding system! that means if someone bids 1000 on an item but the lowest bid is only 50 then their 1000 bid will only show up as 55 so when someone else bids their bids wont show or count until they bid over the second bidders max bid which was 1000 so when someone bids 1050 then it will go on to the next person! its simple really that is if you go and read the FAQ section of Listia where they explain everything to you. It sounds like you might want to go and check this section out for a better understanding of how Listia auctions work that way you wont be so bitter when you keep getting outbid on these auctions. have a nice day and good luck... nice auction

and since you were being a little rude to everyone else by bragging that you have the high bid because you bid over everyone right now what would you bid say if I went ahead and bid this up to 50,000? would you try to outbid me on them then? I would think not so someone who brags telling others it doesnt do them any good to bid is not very nice or Listia minded as an auction is supposed to be fun for all,that is the point of an auction is for everyone to bid against each other not someone being snide to get others to not even try to bid so they can get it at a lower price? ha ha see yes I know what your trying to do

I am nice, but it is not an excuse because you are new to tell everyone that just because you bid high on an item that they may as well not bid on it because they are going to win it. I am here to help others to get the best experience they can from Listia without having to deal with other peoples rudeness. I wasnt being rude I was only trying to prove a point to her so there was no bickering back and forth as I dont bicker but if you have no problem with someone running off your bidders telling them they may as well not bid on something then so be it. good luck hope you do well.
