lol, yea I do that alot, check ppls accts and guess their bank roll as you say! hoping I have more points than them lol. I love it and hate Ebay! I used to get broken items through ebay and diputed it but never got reimbursed! multiple times and I even got the process right, they just refuse to answer me! lol. I love listia, no one believes me that you only pay shipping and free most of the time.. everyone thinks it's a scam... but I love it! has given me many additions to my house, wardrobe and of course... heel collection! lol

I never heard of the secret bid thing, what is that. I put a max bid up that I want to bid and if someone bids higher than it shows then I automatically go up on my bid as long as it's there till someone outbids my max bid. that is how it always works no secret. then everyone would know what to bid, thats why it's a auction then you just check back and up your bid if you want to.

I'm not sure either....some people think this is like a "closed auction" where you don't see the amount of bids or the bidders name...which this is not.
I think this is better then eBay in that way because you DO see the bidders name, account & can more or less 'guess' what their 'bankroll' is for bidding :)

Listia uses a proxy bidding system.
It's very similar to eBay's.
You enter a bid of the max amount you are willing to 'spend'.
If another member entered a higher total amount (prior to your bid) you are 'outbid'.
but unlike eBay, the bottom right of the auction page shows you the member who outbid you.
