The listing, 1947 Canadian 1 Cent Maple Leaf Blunt "7" Coin has ended.
The Canadian Mint needed new dies for its pennies in 1948 due to the independence of India from Great Britain (it was necessary to remove the "ET IND: IMP"). But these dies would not arrive early enough for the demand. So the Mint added little maple leaves beside the '7' of the 1947, to signify the year 1948.
Thanks to this, the 1947 coin saw 3 different variants:
1) Blunt '7'
2) Maple leaf (ML) Blunt '7'
3) ML Pointed '7'
To determine if the seven is pointed or blunt, look at the top right section of that number.
This coin is the blunted "7" variation the rarer of the three.
