Questions & Comments
You cannot put free shipping in the shipping cost area if there is any shipping cost of any kind. You should list the non gin cost then do your description just the way you did. Putting just free shipping in the shipping cost area is misleading. Please don't misunderstand I'm not trying to jump down your throat I'm just trying it help you inform your buyers better. This information is described in the rules. With that said you have a very useful item here and just what I need. Now I just need to get the cost.
Thank you Bill. I see your concern.. However, shipping is FREE for GIN and it's a very reasonable GIN. If you bid the 'other' way..shipping is $2.75 as stated in the description, Thanks for your input. k
Yes I understand that shipping is free for gin but you must put the highest shipping cost in the shipping cost area on the auction page then as you did put the discounts in the description. That way your buyers know right away that there is a cost unless they follow the steps to get the discount. This will solve a couple problems. First a lot of buyers don't read the descriptions and when they see free shipping they just bid. Then when the auction ends they find out there is a shipping cost that they can't pay they loose the item and you can relist the item again and you keep the credits. Now I know you're not out to get free credits this way so putting the non gin shipping cost in the shipping area will again tell your buyers that there is a cost if they don't gin. But the ones that do read the description will find out about the discount right away. You know being a welder by trade I happen to already have 2 of these because of the heat I am subjects to in my face and neck area especially in the summer and they help cool me perfectly. But I can always use more of them. I could also give one to my mom. The muggy heat here in the southern USA just cries out " please use one of these ties ". Thanks for listening to my suggestions and I'm sure they will help. Your comments on my ideas and statements are always welcome as long as they are kindly sent as mine are. Again good luck on your beautiful items and I hope I can get them.
I TRIED just now to update the listing...and it won't do it. So we'll just have to hope they read the description...and I'll be more careful next time. (I hope you get them too. You have a HOT job)
That's ok Katie anyone reading our comments will know what to read and what to do. Just remember this for your future auctions. And I hope there are many more to come. Yes welding is a hot job but I've been doing it since I was 10 years old and I'm 63 now. I love it. It may be real hot in summer but is real helpful in keeping warm in winter. Have a great day Katie and thanks for the conversation. You're a nice lady.
By the way I hope you're in a spot where you can see the eclipse Monday. The last full eclipse in the USA was 99 years ago and the next one is 275 years from now. I know we missed the last one and I don't think we'll live long enough to see the next one so this is the only one. I'm going to travel 200 miles to see it full cause where I live it will only be 95%.
