i got them out of an a-open windows xp and they also fit in my other xp so i would think just about any i know their better than most stock because they improved my computer enough to play online games only reason im getting rid ofem is because i bought 2 1gig sticks for $150 last month

That's mostly nonsense, as long as you don't have a huge charge built up. You can touch anything metal before hand and you're safe. I've been building computers for over ten years and have touched all kinds of gold connectors in sock feet on carpet and have never fried a thing.
