The listing, Gold Plated $1.00 Lincoln has ended.
2010-P Lincoln $1 dollar coin. I bought this as gold plated - but I have no way of knowing for sure. Did not come with any documentation stating that. It is however a beautiful coin. Uncirculated and in a protective coin capsule. Feel free to see my other auctions. Thank you. .
Questions & Comments
All of the presidential dollar coins are gold in color, but of the 4 metals they are made of, none of them are gold. There is 0 gold in them. However, it is possible that someone plated this coin after it left the mint. Sadly, like you said, there is no way to know for sure unless a professional inspects it. Regardless if it is plated or not, the value is pretty much the same. It looks like a nice coin. If it is simply a presidential dollar coin, and it is in mint condition, retail book value is around $3. The holder that the coin is in runs anywhere from 50c to $1 each. So in all, this coin is worth more than face value. I'll be watching and possibly bidding.
Thank you. Like I said above - I was led to believe it was gold plated during my purchasem - just can;t truthfully say that it is. But thanks for understanding.
I am not lieing - I only said what I purchased it as. I plainlky said in my description that I have no way of knowing for sure. I only said how it was sold to me as.
It is a mixture of Copper and nickle, I is like a new cent I buy rolls at a time of the New unopened rolls. I already have this one in my collection. Looks good and I will still watch.
