I'm led to believe the metal is silver, however, because I bought it from overseas (China) it could very well be plated

I think it's silver plated. I bought it from 'Wish' an app I downloaded. I thought it looked pretty. It is a pretty ring. I still like it. I only bought it this year. However, I've got too many rings and I'm just trying to 'downsize' my collection!
