Gorgeous!! Is the majority of the ring a solid sterling? Any other markings, than 925? Is it new or pre-worn? With a GIN or w/o? do you ship with Delivery Confirmation & or Insurance? Thanks!

Its Brand New Stamped 925 no other stamps. Its Brand New Never Worn. There is a low Gin offered on this ring. Being that i offer free shipping on all my auctions because i list for points, I am mailing multiple packages every other day. The shipping and materials are getting rediculous. I usually mail first class well packaged mail.

It is so stunning! Believe me, I understand the high cost of shipping, really adds up. I always offer Free ship as well & usually look for sellers, as yourself that do likewise. I agree, it is costly. This Ring, just caught my eye, like no other, I have seen in some time! Thanks so much:)

It is supposed to be a 2 carat African Amethyst. But in my opinion, it may be a little larger than that. I guess i am used to looking a 1 carat as tiny. lol. It is really pretty though.

Hi, one more question! This ring fascinates me:) It appears a deep purple. I know it is an ~African Amethyst~, But do you know if the amethyst came from South America or from Africa? Thanks, still watching closely! :)

This is some info on the differnece between : Its Basically African Amethyst is richer in color and smaller in stones , thats why it is so highly desired. Hope this helps:

Most amethyst comes from South America. But the finest amethyst is found in Africa, especially in Zambia.

The traditional source for the purple quartz known as amethyst is Brazil. Large deposits wwere found in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais in the 19th century. Amethyst occurs there in volcanic rocks in large geodes. Since the first discoveries amethyst has been found in a number of locations in Brazil, as well as across the border in Uruguay. Bolivia, famous for ametrine, also produces some amethyst.

Though the vast majority of the amethyst in the market is from Brazil and Uruguay, gem dealers will tell you that the finest amethyst comes from Africa. The African material is mainly from Zambia in southern Africa, with some very limited production from Tanzania and Namibia.

Thanks for the info. Really, I love learning about the actual stones, themselves. All being amethyst's! From your experience, hands on, knowledge, color(this one appearing, at least to me?? a richer purple, can you distinguish it's Origin. Do you think this is one from Africa? Either way, I am so watching this, hard not to jump on, b4 someone else does, Thanks so much:)

Well I can tell you that Brazillian amethyst is generally lilac or light purple and are found in large quantities. This stone is a richer deeper purple Amethyst and if i had to judge by its color, i would have to say it was harvested from either Zambia in South Africa or possibly even Namibia Africa.
But without certification i really have no way of verifying that for certain! Hope this helps.
